I don’t believe anyone wakes up and says, “I desire to be overweight and miserable for all the days of my life.”
I never did.
Sometimes, though, you just get in this rut. You know better, but you don’t differently, because you’ve been in the rut for so long.
Do you ever find yourself looking up and wondering how you got there?

There is hope. 


I remember I would diet and feel so hopeful during the process, then when I would quit and gain the weight back, plus more, I would be devastated. I just wanted to quit. Embarrassment. Shame. You name the emotion, I had it.
But when I started to learn there was truly a different way, and faced the fact that it wouldn’t be easy, something in me shifted. The reality was I didn’t get to 330 lbs. overnight and I wasn’t going to lose it overnight.
But what I could do was just take life one step a time. I’m still living life this way.
