Living Truth Weekly Recap – Going Down Under With Author Julie Cave

Didn’t catch Wednesday’s episode of Living Truth? No problem.
We had Christian Fiction Author Julie Cave on the show with us. What an amazing story she shared.
Julie shared how God saved her marriage by her husband Terry coming to know Christ. God brought a divine appointment into their lives, which led to Julie finding her way to New Leaf Publishing Group, eventually introducing the Dinah Harris fiction series.
Having a love of writing since childhood, Julie never knew it would soon become a career. Not only does she get to do her hobby for a living, but she has the opportunity to glorify Christ through her works.
Deadly Disclosures is the first in the series, followed by The Shadowed Mind. The third in the series, Pieces of Light will be available in June.

Living Truth Weekly Recap – Refine Us Ministries – Restoration In Marriage

Didn’t catch Wednesday’s episode of Living Truth? No problem.
We had Justin and Trisha Davis of Refine Us Ministries on the show discussing how their marriage went from deterioration to full restoration. Justin is the teaching and campus pastor at Cross Point Church in Nashville.
The Davis’ told the story of Justin’s affair, how the marriage was almost destroyed, and how God brought them and their ministry full circle. They shared their experiences on growing a ministry while maintaining a marriage. It’s harder than it looks.
Read more about  the “8 Things that Destroyed our Marriage” blog on their website, as well as “8 Things that Restored our Marriage.
Both Justin and Trisha walked us through their healing process, things they discovered about themselves, and the choices they both made during their difficult time to rebuild their marriage.
Great inspiration for both married couples and singles in this show.

Next week we’re taking a break from the show, as Lyn heads off to Ukraine. Please keep her in your prayers. But join us on April 6 with author Julie Cave. You don’t wanna miss it!

Living Truth Weekly Recap – The Women Inspired Team

Didn’t catch Wednesday’s episode of Living Truth? No problem.
Lyn was actually sitting on an airplane headed to California, so I was flying solo. (Okay, the pun wasn’t planned, but you have to admit that was funny.)

Living Truth Weekly Recap – The Power of God's Word

Didn’t catch Wednesday’s episode of Living Truth? No problem. It was POWERFUL!
We talked about the Power of God’s Word and what happens when we apply it to our lives.
Living Truth is themed around living our freedom in Jesus Christ. We discussed on Wednesday  about how part of the path to freedom is in knowing what God says in His Word. It’s a powerful book and God’s primary way of communicating with us.
If you didn’t take the opportunity to do the Psalm 119 Bible Study that Lyn led, it’s not too late. Here’s the link to start that. Download the documents and do it at your own pace.
Here are a few of my favorite verses from that study:

  • vs. 50 – My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
  • vs. 92-93 – If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction, I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
  • vs. 112 – My hearts is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.
  • vs. 114 – You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.

We also discussed praying God’s Word back to Him. You can see that in verses 169-176.
Lyn told the story of how Psalm 119 began. No teaser here. You want to listen to learn more.
And I discussed my story of dealing with shame, based on Psalm 34:5, which reads, Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
Check out the archive here.
If you didn’t have the opportunity to listen, oh how I encourage you to do so. I didn’t even scratch the surface of our discussion of just how awesome God is. Know a new believer, or someone who isn’t yet a believer? Pass Wednesday’s show onto them for some encouragement in the Power of God’s Word.
Join us next week as we talk with the team of Women Inspired. Don’t miss it!
See you on the radio!

The United States is now THE number one destination for human trafficking! That is worth reading again: Number One!
